#GivetoGain: International Women’s Day Across our Global Teams

This International Women’s Day, we reflect on a simple but powerful idea: when we give, we all gain.

The theme “Give to Gain” this year highlights the impact of creating environments where people are supported, empowered, and respected. When we give mentorship, opportunity, and encouragement, we enable individuals and teams to grow stronger together.

At Mondia, we celebrate the women whose vision, dedication, and energy inspire and elevate everyone around them. As we mark International Women’s Day, we invited a few of the many remarkable women at Mondia to share what this theme means to them and how these values shape their experiences at work.

#GiveInclusion

Inclusion ensures that everyone has a seat at the table and a voice in shaping ideas and decisions.

“To me, an inclusive workplace is one where women do not have to shrink themselves to fit in. It is a place where our unique ideas are heard, valued, and credited. Inclusion means feeling able to speak up, take up space, make mistakes, and learn without fear. It is about creating an environment that breaks the old patriarchal norms and makes room for new ways of working.”

– Ahlem Jdidi, Senior Key Account Manager, Germany

#GiveMentorship

Mentorship is one of the most powerful ways knowledge and experience are shared.

“Mentorship is one of the best ways we can ‘give to gain.’ When we share our knowledge and support someone else’s growth, we are not just helping a person, we are strengthening the community around us. When we take the time to guide and support others, it can make a difference long after that moment. Mentorship helps create an environment where people feel encouraged to learn, grow, and support each other. It also brings a lot back to us, new perspectives and stronger connections. Mentorship reminds us that success means more when we work together.”

– Maria Velez, Program Manager, Madrid

#GiveSupport

“Teams can support each other by listening, sharing knowledge, and celebrating everyone’s achievements. Encouraging and helping each other creates an inclusive environment where women and all team members can thrive. When we lift each other up, the whole team succeeds. I, as HR can facilitate this by providing resources, mentoring programs, and recognition initiatives that empower everyone to contribute their best.”

– Sinah Janssen-Koc, People Business Partner, Germany

#GiveEmpowerment

Empowerment starts with trust, giving people the confidence, responsibility, and space to grow.

“Feeling empowered at work begins with trust and a sense of belonging. When people feel respected, heard, and encouraged to share ideas, they naturally gain confidence to contribute and lead. Empowerment also comes from having opportunities to grow and knowing that your efforts make a difference. Leaders and colleagues who uplift others create cultures where people support one another and succeed together.”

– Manal AbdelShafy, People Business Partner, Cairo

#GiveRespect

Respect is the foundation of strong collaboration. It creates an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone feels heard.

“For me respect in the workplace is a culture where people listen and are listened to. People do not always have to agree on a position or situation but they are afforded the opportunity not just to be heard but to be understood. When you take the time to understand a different point of view it demonstrates the value and respect you hold for those around you.”

– Emily Pinchon, FP&A Director, Dubai

As Elizabeth Blackwell, the first female physician, once said, “For what is done or learned by one class of women becomes, by virtue of their common womanhood, the property of all women.” May these reflections remind us that meaningful progress begins with the culture we create together.

Growing Together

This day is an opportunity to celebrate progress while continuing to build workplaces where everyone can contribute and grow. By fostering mentorship, encouraging inclusion, championing respect and opportunity, workplaces can become spaces where women feel empowered to contribute, lead, and grow.

At Mondia, the idea of “Give to Gain” reminds us that when we invest in empowerment, respect, mentorship, support, and inclusion, we create stronger teams, better ideas, and a culture where people can thrive.
