JumiaPay

Mondia Pay provided innovative payment, gaming content and B2B platforms to JumiaPay’s gaming offering.

Following an initial announcement in 2020 of a deal between Mondia and Jumia to launch Jumia Games, a competitively priced entertainment category on the JumiaPay App, the parties have now extended their deal to provide new offerings for Jumia customers.

The partnership sees the gaming service made available to the customers of all three of Egypt’s mobile operators: Vodafone, Orange and Etisalat.

Mondia Pay and Jumia also launched an exciting new payment service on the JumiaPay App for consumers in Egypt. Mobile consumers throughout Egypt can now utilise Mondia Pay’s Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) that enable secure, seamless contactless payments for Jumia Games purchases.

Vodacom’s VodaPay Super App

Mondia Pay has rolled out the provision of its seamless, contactless Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) payment service to the VodaPay Super App. DCB allows customers to make payments conveniently and securely by charging them to their mobile phone bill. Mondia Pay’s DCB service is used by tens of millions of customers across the Middle East and Africa, and provides a highly scalable payment gateway that both customers and merchants can trust.

The VodaPay Super App, designed in collaboration with Alibaba Group-owned fintech services platform Alipay, allows consumers to do everything from paying bills to sending money, playing games and ordering takeaways. The VodaPay Super App offers consumers a single point of entry and payment platform, with no additional download required.

Cell C, Huawei AppGallery and MePlay

Cell C – a leading mobile operator in South Africa – joined forces with Mondia Pay to offer Cell C subscribers the ability to use their mobile balances to purchase apps available on the Huawei AppGallery, as well as access MePlay content and services. This is the first Cell C and Mondia Pay integration offering Cell C customers Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) for these two services with more DCB integrations on the way for access to other Cell C offerings.

Mondia Pay implemented their DCB services to enable secure, seamless and contactless payments for all Cell C users in South Africa.

Cell C mobile subscribers with Huawei handsets are now able to utilise their mobile balance to pay for apps available on the Huawei AppGallery. Mondia Pay also enables all Cell C subscribers to use DCB to access MePlay services. MePlay is a leading online retailer and certified distributor of digital wallet top-ups, codes and content from the world’s most popular stores, through the instant delivery of all codes for video games, Apps, music, movies, TV content, and many others.
